LSS 211 is free, confidential and the critical first link to reduce poverty and ensuring opportunity for every Central Ohioan.
With just one call, text, web chat or online search, 211 provides immediate access to more than 3,000 local programs. When a person contacts LSS 211, they connect to an information resource specialist who is trained and certified to assist in times of crises and for everyday needs. We combine best practices, experience, and social innovation to provide one of the nation’s leading 2-1-1 services here in Central Ohio.
Emergency Food Assistance
LSS 211 Central Ohio connects Franklin County residents to more than 100 food pantries and meal sites.
Rent and Housing Assistance
A local network of service providers disburses rent, mortgage and utilities assistance payments, and supplies transportation and other related items for residents of Franklin County.
Affordable Housing
Our referral program is designed to connect individuals and families with affordable housing options that meet their specific needs, including low-income or subsidized rental housing.
Tax Time Assistance
LSS 211 Central Ohio schedules appointments for free tax preparation assistance for qualifying families January through April. Tax Time is a network of nonprofit, business and government organizations that work to provide free, high quality tax assistance to low and moderate-income households, led by United Way of Central Ohio.
